GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) , a green building certification system in India. What is GRIHA? GRIHA is a national rating system developed by TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) and adopted by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India. It evaluates the environmental performance of buildings throughout their entire life cycle, setting benchmarks for what constitutes a 'green building'. Objectives of GRIHA The primary goal of GRIHA is to minimize resource consumption, waste generation, and the overall ecological impact of buildings.
